Ideas for Repurposing Everyday Items for More Organization

Has anyone seen my keys? Mom, where are my glasses? If these situations sound familiar, maybe it’s time to stop and review the organization of your home. The trick to find what you need when you need is to always have a place for anything and put things in their proper places. If an object does not have a specific place to be saved, it will probably be lost. We know that you can save a lot of money just by reusing plastic containers, glass or card. Rather than throw them away in trash, why not recycle them, try to give new life to their used packaging. Virtually everything we buy today is contained in containers, packages or bottles. It’s a waste to use them only once and then discard them. To avoid problems like this, how about joining some ideas and storage techniques? Once you know them, mount a guide to determine where everything must be kept: daily storage areas. Here are some nifty tricks that you can use to repurpose your everyday items for a well-organized storage in your house.   Popcorn container or Ice-cream boxes: These containers are perfectly built to keep your miscellaneous stuff that lies around precariously around your house to have a permanent safe haven. You can have different boxes to keep different items such a one box for keeping garage item and another box for kitchen accessories and so on.   Chips Can: These long and slender chips can have ample space to keep your stationery items such as pencils and pens. If you are an artist, you can use it to store your set of important brushes, etc. These cans are made of hard cardboard paper, so they are durable in nature. Just ensure you can clean them properly before using.   Detergent boxes A large sized detergent boxes works great to store you magazine, letters and newspaper until you decide to discard them.   Tissue Boxes These boxes are not as big in size and as durable in quality but works perfectly fine when it comes to storing your supermarket plastic bags. You can just place them inside the box one after the other in an organized way and when you need them, take it out one by one the way you take out tissue papers.

25 Ideas to Organize Your Home

A neat, clean and an organized house make it easier to relax and avoid distractions when you need to concentrate. Not to mention the usual advantage of being easier to locate what we need when everything is in relative order.   Some are as basic and classic that might bore you; other maybe bumps for being too radical. But here they are all; if you’re inspired and want to add some more, all up to you. Make your bed in the morning. At night, before bed, take a few minutes to organize things in order. Collect the table and wash the dishes right after eating, if there is no good reason to wait and postpone. A little cleaning of bathroom should be done after every use. This micro-cleaning (which does not have to last more than 2 to 3 minutes) saves time when you undertake the “major cleaning”. If something spills or breaks ( crash …! ), get used to pick up immediately. Too basic stuff we know but worth mentioning here… Do not store your unused paper (newspapers, magazines, brochures, etc.) unless you are certain that you are going to need them. For that use your computer. If there is something useful in your mails, then keep it otherwise remove mail after reading them. Throw away things which are broken. Get rid of objects that you associate with a painful memory, if possible. Throw away any unwanted hate decorative objects (provided they are yours), to avoid feeling annoyed every time you look at them. In general, get rid of a few decorative items. It will cost less to clean. If throwing away things bothers you: recycle them, use them or sell them off. Create a space (not too big) where to put things until you decide what to do with them. If you spend more than a year without the need, consider removing them from home. Do not cheat. For example, keeping things under the bed you do not need. Declutter your shelves, boxes, files or, in general, the tools you need to organize and optimize the space at home. But do not fill them with useless things. Label what you require, so you know what is in each “package” without having to open it. Do not store the very old clothes, which has been very small or that you do not plan to use it again until bizarre fashion just happened. Do not keep things in duplicate or quadruplicate if there is no need. Check out the medicine cabinet or keep medicines place. Keep only necessary medicines. With food, the same. Do not keep it until expired. One rule: For every new item or product coming home, you leave one (or two). Another rule: If you do not need, do not buy. And if it is a gift from someone who adores you, you might give it an exception. Get used to put things in the original place after use. Involved in the mission of “Housekeeping” along with people who live with you under your roof. Dedicating a few minutes each day to cleaning and organizing your house. You can take advantage of the small brackets. For example, pick up some cooking while you finish making ??the coffee. If you have made ??the house a mess, start working on small area. When you finish one, go to the next.

Top 10 Hacks That Will Help You Make Your Kitchen Clutter-Free

The kitchen is one room in the house that needs more attention, because it is where we prepare our food, and it is necessary to do so with care and available space. It is also a location that is subject to great disarray due to the fact that we have to use several instruments for the preparation of food and serve meals. So, it is important to set some rules for the organization, in order to keep everything in its place. Cultivate the habit of cleaning the kitchen every day can help, but it may not be enough. We advise you to continue reading this article and learn solid practical tips on how to organize your kitchen.   1. Arrange the plugs. Having small home appliances disposed on the kitchen counter, it is natural to begin to form a big mess of cables and electrical plugs. To avoid this, line them up and install above them a trough which consolidates several electrical outlets, or post an outlet extension with multiple entries. This way you can connect the plugs on top, saving space and facilitating cleaning.   2. Divide the areas It will also be quite useful to divide the kitchen for workspaces, because this way you will know what the ideal place for a particular activity is. Thus define what is a cooking area, what is a cutting or washing area or storage area.   3. Cooking area. This is defined by the location of the stove and the oven. It’s the one that needs more attention when you are cooking food. To facilitate this task, try it together all the resources that typically uses for cooking: blender, microwave, electric kettle, spices, cutlery etc. Thus, keep all available near the stove and oven, will save time and avoid clutter.   4. Preparation Area This area is dedicated to the preparation of food that is based on functions that precede cooking, such as cutting board, and in mixing the ingredients.  It is important to have enough space in this area in order to put in it the various materials used during cooking: bowls, trays, cutlery, ingredients, etc. Also note that it should be close to the cooking area.   5. Washing area As the name implies, the washing area is where you shall wash, either food or materials used during cooking. While serving a particular material, either a plate or silverware, avoid leaving it on the counter and put it right in the kitchen sink or dishwasher. Thus, when you are ready to wash it all, you do not forget any dirty utensil.   6. Storage area This relates to furniture, refrigerators, freezers, drawers, cabinets or other resource where you keep the food items and utensils. Look for storing all of them close to each other in order to prevent the whole kitchen scroll while looking for something or by assembling the various materials and ingredients you need to cook. Also this tip will greatly facilitate the time to organize the kitchen to prevent waste time in storage.   7. The organization within the Storage cabinet or Fridge Although not visible, is also very important to keep things at a standard place to avoid wastage of time during cooking. Thus, try to divide the groceries into categories. For example, keep the bottles on one side, other canned milk and juice packages on the other side, etc. If you are the type of person who buys products in quantity, take the space to store the excess as a pantry. With regard to using utensils for cooking, such as pots and pans, place them separately from those used to eat such as plates and cups.   8. Storing Dry Products For dry goods such as rice, pasta, flour, dried beans, cookies and sugar, prefer change them from the original packaging for a transparent acrylic box or glass jars and arrange them in the area of cooking. However, if many, store them in a properly identified place. Smaller packets, spices and others should be stored in baskets. This method of storage will provide much more organized picture and will facilitate the cleaning of the space and saving of time.   9. Upper Shelf In order to make cooking more organized and functional, choose to keep the products and utensils that you rarely use in a place of difficult access, such as the upper shelf. Thus, the available space within reach of your hands will be reserved for what is used most frequently, allowing better organization of the space and facilitate the time to find what you want.   10. Foods with little validity Foods with little validity such as fruit and vegetables may be arranged in location where it can be checked quickly and frequently before getting spoiled. Do it in an elegant way by placing metal baskets on the wall. However, this tip only applies to foods that do not need to be kept in the refrigerator.
